Because the margins are never big enough.
Readminded exists because I read physical books with a pen in hand — and the margins were always too small. My notes ended up scattered across dozens of books: impossible to find again, impossible to revisit. I wanted one place where every quote and every thought stays organised, attached to the book it came from. So I built it.
It's also built on a belief. In an era of AI noise and infinite feeds, reading slowly and with focus is worth protecting. Readminded won't summarise a book for you or generate your thoughts — it just keeps the ones you make yourself.

Read with a pencil, without the pencil.
Add books in seconds.
Point your camera at a barcode and the title, author, cover and page count fill themselves in. No barcode? Search, or snap the page with OCR and let the text come to you.
Notes that stay with the book.
Capture a quote, add your own thinking underneath, and tag it. Every highlight keeps its home — the book, the page, the moment you wrote it.
See your reading life add up.
Sessions are timed, pages are counted, books are rated and shelved — to read, reading, completed, set aside. Signed in, everything syncs across your devices.
